English Preparatory Classes
We have been trying to adapt or teaching phases to European Comission Framework and to standardize the education using student portfolio-based progress reports and a standardized evaluation system.
Before starting your lessons, you will take an English language assessment test. We use this to find out your level of ability and ensure that we place you in a class to match your needs.
There are eight different levels of General English courses, ranging from classes for Elementary learners (for those with no or very little knowledge of the language) to Proficiency level, where students have reached to almost bilingual stage.
Each level takes an average of 2 months, depending on the speed of your progress, but if you feel you are at the wrong level, you can request a test at any time. Your teacher will discuss your progress with you at frequent intervals, if you wish.

The Course levels are:

Beginner (A1*)

Our Beginner Course helps you learn the absolute basics of English and will help you understand and take part in simple conversations.

Elementary (A1/A2*)

Our Elementary Course helps you with the basics of English and develops your language survival skills. It aims to help you feel relaxed and confident in functional speaking, pronunciation, listening, writing and reading.

Pre-Intermediate (A2*)
Waystage
Our Pre-Intermediate Course is designed to help you deal with a range of predictable everyday situations, whether you are speaking, listening, reading or writing.

Lower Intermediate (B1*)
Upperwaystage
Our Lower Intermediate Course is designed to help you increase your confidence in a variety of everyday situations, whether you are speaking, listening, reading or writing.

Intermediate (B1*)

Our Intermediate Course is designed to help you deal with a more complex range of everyday situations, whether you are speaking, listening, reading or writing. Vocabulary starts to become more idiomatic at this stage.

Upper Intermediate (B2*)
Threshold
Our Upper Intermediate Course develops your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills and increases your confidence in both social and professional situations. Achievement of a qualification at this level is appropriate for university entrance in the UK.

Advanced (C1*)
Vantage
Our Advanced Course is designed to help you to become a competent, adaptable and strategic user of English who can carry out complex tasks whether speaking, listening, reading or writing. Grammatical work is more refined at this stage and focuses on more varied structures.

Proficiency (C2*)
Mastery
Our Proficiency Course is designed to encourage you to apply the study of language to media, literature and technical discourse, whether speaking, listening, reading or writing. The qualification and level denote a very high level of linguistic competence.
